Lead-in
The lesson begins with a lead-in activity where students look at a picture and describe it in as much detail as possible. Following this, there are several lead-in questions about street food, encouraging students to share their thoughts and ideas.
Vocabulary, Reading, Questions
Next is a vocabulary exercise. Students will look at pictures of different street foods, name them, and then check their answers on the following slide. They will also add a few more street foods to the list. After reviewing the vocabulary, students will move on to the reading section, where they will read about street food from around the world. Following the reading, there will be several comprehension questions for students to answer, taking turns to share their responses.
Speaking, Practice
Next, there is a speaking activity where students identify where the food comes from. They will match the pictures to the corresponding country and flag. Additionally, they will practice making and answering questions about the foods
Fact or Opinion
Another speaking activity is called Fact or Opinion. In this activity, students will read several statements and decide whether they believe each one is a proven fact or a personal opinion.
Speaking
The final activity is a speaking task where students share their thoughts on the most delicious street food they have ever tried. They will describe it and, if possible, show a picture in class. If there isn’t enough time to complete this activity in class, it can also be assigned as optional homework.
