Alien Ambassadors

In this fun and imaginative ESL activity, students take on the role of aliens visiting Earth for the very first time. They observe human customs that may seem unusual or confusing from an outsider’s perspective, such as shaking hands, standing in line, or clapping. Their task is to describe these customs to their fellow aliens and try to reason out why humans might engage in such behaviors. This activity encourages students to practice descriptive language, critical thinking, and cultural reflection, sparking lively discussions about everyday norms and cultural differences.
